This assignment is located in the Tribe Arrange of KPN. Within this tribe, the IT applications that are used to maintain KPN’s network are managed. The Tribe adopted the DevOps way of working. The 1GIS teams of Arrange are responsible for the development cycle of KPN’s GIS system. This system is using the G/Tech software suite from Hexagon. The team members work on developing, testing and deploying customizations that are necessary to support the business processes of KPN and its partners. The users of the GIS application build and maintain KPN’s fixed network infrastructure. With this assignment you can make difference in delivering the best network in the Netherlands!
The 1GIS teams work mainly on the migration of several legacy applications to the target GIS application. For these migrations new features need to be developed in the target application, as well as data migrations that need to be prepared and executed. Next to the migrations, the teams are continuously in contact with the (key) users to identify and develop potential product improvements. The teams are in the meantime transforming to the next DevOps maturity level. Part of the team improvements is to identify and implement DevOps tooling.
