About KPN Mobile Networks:
Within the Technology and Digitization Office, the Mobile Networks department is responsible for innovating, developing and managing KPN's mobile network. Our mobile network consists of over 5000 base stations in the Netherlands and connects more than 7 million customers every day. Together with 185 enthusiastic colleagues, we ensure that KPN's mobile network is the #1 network in the Netherlands.

For our One Mobile Core (OMC) Program we are looking for a full time Project Manager. The OMC program will replace the current packet switched core network with a modern cloud based version and will add 5G SA network capabilities. This will bring higher speed, lower latency, better quality and enhanced security to our KPN customers.
Focus of the project manager will be to manage the 5G SA and Test & Automation streams within the program.
The project manager will work closely together with the OMC Program Manager and the team members involved in the program.
What the Project Manager will do:
    Approach and plan: Aligns with the (business) stakeholders and determines the approach, taking into account multiple and different interests. Makes a project plan and the planning for the results to be achieved, time required, resources. Discusses the plan with the leads, team members and external suppliers to ensure commitment/ availability of the resources needed.
    Project management: Manages the realization of the project results with the plan as a guideline. Coordinates content, manages the western vendor and integrates with the organization and working methods within the OMC Program. Manages the operational readiness of the network services and handover to the business and operations.
    Project quality: Monitors the quality of the work done. Comes up with measures to ensure quality and progress for all parties involved.
    Project information and reporting: Reports on progress and in such a way that it is transparent and usable for all stakeholders.

Who we are looking for:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who is well able to achieve results with a team of highly skilled, self-driven individuals. The ideal candidate of course has the below mentioned knowledge and experience of the work field, but should most of all be able to guide a team to reach the required results within a challenging environment.

Knowledge and skills:
    Domain knowledge of Mobile Core and Access Technologies.
    Extensive experience as Project Manager for mobile (5G) services, features and mobile networks.
    Strong business focus and able to align the business ambitions and requirements and the program timelines and deliverables.
    Knowledge of Project Management, able to cover the full project lifecycle from initial scoping and design to eventual testing and handover to operations.
    Project management experience in an Agile way of working environment
    Strong communication skills. Well able to represent the program with all internal and external stakeholders.

Location:
    The Program is run from the KPN office in Zoetermeer.
    Working from a different location/ home location is possible. Days office/ remote to be agreed upon.

    Mobiele kennis Telco/ gewerkt bij leveranciers als Ericsson, Nokia en Huawei, waarbij de voorkeur sterk uitgaat naar kandidaten die ervaring hebben met Ericsson
    Ervaring met communication skills business.
